What is black soap?
Black soap is made from palm or coconut oil, water, shea butter (produced from the greasy kernels of shea nuts) and ash. The ash consists of 100% of cooking banana peels , palm kernels / leaves or cocoa peel.
The fragrance uses lemon or lime extracts, partly also African sandalwood.
In some black soaps are also essential oils or healing herbs. Sometimes even Aloe Vera is added.
What are the benefits of black soap?
Thanks to the shea butter, black soap has plenty of vitamin E and A that prevent skin aging and moisturize the skin.
In Africa (especially in the countries of production Ghana, Benin, Nigeria and Togo) the black soap is called ose dudu (ose = soap, dudu = black). It is used not only for skin care and cleansing, but also as a cure for itching, acne, eczema and even for the prevention of stretch marks during pregnancy.
Because of the pure natural ingredients, the soap is also suitable for baby and children’s skin.
When washing, the soap penetrates the upper layer of the skin, clears it porically and prevents bacteria from multiplying on the skin. The result: pure skin. The first improvements are seen after two weeks of regular use .
